This blog post will be your final reading report, and it will cover the last 4 chapters of the book. Each response is worth 5 points for a total of 15 points.

After Foxface eats the berries, only three tributes remain. Katniss, Peeta and Cato end up together at the Cornucopia where Cato meets his fate. The Gamemakers decide to change the rules back to only allow one victor, but Katniss and Peeta find a way to defy them. They are lifted from the arena on a hovercraft not as tributes, but as victors. On the way home to District 12, Katniss and Peeta's relationship changes, and Katniss also knows she's in trouble with President Snow even though the people of the Capitol love her and Peeta.
Answer all the questions below in 3-4 sentences.
1. Cato falls from the Cornucopia into the pack of muttations. Describe what the muttations are. How exactly does Cato die?
2. Why does Katniss decide that her and Peeta should eat the berries? What problem does this create for her after the Hunger Games are over?
3. On the last page, Katniss says, "Already the boy with the bread is slipping away from me." Why does she say this?

ReplyDelete- muttation is a no natural-born animals. they resemble huge wolves. they have thick coat and some with fur that is straight and sleek, and the colors very jet black.
- when Cato try to asphyxiate Peeta, Katniss shoot him by her arrow and he fell down to muttation, but he still alive because Katniss and Peeta doesn't hear the canon. After that Peeta said to Katniss to shoot Cato by her bow, so she did. Then Cato died.

- because the gamemakers change the rule at the end of the hunger game they return to only one person win the game. Katniss and Peeta know that the gamemakers must have winner, so Katniss decided to eat berries and Peeta too. they try to make gamemakers change the rule again to let them both win.
- everyone ignore her except for some Capitol attendant who appears behind her and offer a beverage. And she made herself in a trouble with president snow; because he wants only one person to win the game. But in Ceasar Flikerman interview Katniss said " she can't imagine her life without Peeta" to make the Capitol and president snow like her.

- probably she said that because she was angry from Peeta; because when she was hungry and Peeta throw the bread to her that made her angry. Although he didn't come to her to gave her the bread, he just throw it in front of her. But now she feel friendly with him and she not feel angry from him. Also, now she will respect Peeta more than before.
I understood from my reading, the muttations are some animals like huge wolves or designed by the Capital. These animals had been modified by the Capital. The Capital uses the muttations for keeping the game continues or use it as weapons. Cato died when Katniss sent her arrow flying into his skull.

Katniss decide that her and Peeta should eat the berries because only them still a life. The Capital wants just one winner because that Katniss decided that they should eat the poison berries. The purpose from that nobody will win and the capital don't want that happen, so the capital decide to make Katniss and Peeta winners. The problem is Katniss did challenge with the Capital when she decided change the rules to make two winners by eating the poison berries plan, so the Capital maybe makes Katniss the goal because she challenged them.

In my opinion, she means by slipping away or she said this because the boy with the bread refers to what type of person. The boy before the hunger games and since the end of events he is very different that before. So, now they are friendly and maybe more friendly. ^_^

Peeta said to her shoot to Cato again. But she know its arrow worthless. After that they hear sound Cato when he dead.

I think her love Gale. she doesn`t know what she feels. and also she want to make friend with Peeta.
1- Muttations are no natural born animals they resemble hug wolves, but what wolf lands and then balances easily on its hind legs.
ReplyDeleteKatniss send arrow into the pack and one goes down , but there are plenty to take its place. Katniss shoot her arrow down the throat of the first mutt that places its paws on the metal. As it dies the creature lashes out. So, Cato was dyeing when he fitting with Peeta and katniss shoot him in his hand. Then Cato fell down to foxface.
2- Because capital they made anew roll change the roll for this game and then Katniss and Peeta they can eat the berries. After that the capital took Katniss and Peeta a way after they killd Gato. Before they channg a roll for this game Katniss and Peeta they must be die. She still had a chance, though. Funny, in the arena when she poured out those berries, she was only thinking of out smarting to let Gamemakers, not how her actions would reflect on the capitol.
3- Some days out of the corner of her eyes, she saw Peeta extend his hand and she look to him, unsure. One more time . for the audience, and he says. His voice isn’t angry. Its hollow, which is worse. Already the boy with the bread is slipping away from her. And she take his hand, holding on tightly, preparing for the cameras, and dreading the moment when she will finally have to let go. Also, I think Because she likes Petta and she talks to him I love you when his friend stay with him in the end hangur game when Katniss back to her town with Peeta.

2-the problem begin when closer examination of rule book has disclosed that only one winner may be allowed.
because if he dies, she'll never go home, she'll spend the rest of her life in arena trying to think my way out.
3- probably because she was with relationship with Galo. Also, they are playing at being in love so she want to tell the truth although she is friendly with Peeta now.
1-The muttution are hung wolves animal. They have black colors.When he fight above the cornucopia with Peeta and katniss, Katniss shoot him by her bow. Then, he falls down into mottation. Afterthat Katniss shoot him in his skull. Then he die.
ReplyDelete2-they decided to eat berries because the game makers change the rule to only one person win the game. Katniss know the game makers must have victors.The problem she create foe her that she made president snow angry,and some people ignore her in the capital.
3-She mean by say that, Peeta always with her from the begging and she imagine that when he throw the bread to her. She doesnt think Peeta will stay with her to the end. And also,Peeta wants Katniss to still alive because he loves her. Although,he said to Katniss when they heard about change the rule to kill him because he always wants her to be alive. So,Katniss say this"sentence". She made Peeta Friend to her,and she never leave him alone when he need help.

ReplyDelete1- the mutts are unnatural creatures they like a huge wolves. Katniss described them as blond they has a rise hair their back really strong and pink lips green eyes they in the origin are the killed tributes.
When Cato tried to kill peeta and katniss he used Peeta like a armor to safe him. Peeta make a sign on cato's hand wants katniss to shoot him. When katniss did it he slipped on the ground beside the mutts. The unexpected no conon sound. The next day when the sun rise katniss saw him and shot him through his skull.
2- when the capitol changed the rules and informed them we will have just one victor she realized if capitol doesn't has a victor that means they failed and that will make a problem for the careers. So she thought that will force the capitol. She got berries.
That creat problems to her because she force the capitol to do that and getting two victors. Hickhtman told her you are in trouble and he advised her to do the right thing.
Also when she was on the stage in event day she noticed the present sight not ok.
3- Because she couldn't explain what the is relationship and all that because the game but she care about him without love. And she don't like to get married never. Also she is thinking about Gale and in the end she said that because she felt the problem between them is over
